How do I transfer money to another financial institution?

We offer two options for setting up automatic transfers to another U.S. financial institution: Transfers and ACH origination transfers.

Transfers

With this option, you will be able to easily schedule transfers (one-time or recurring) to your account at another financial institution via online banking. To set up an "External Account,” please follow the steps below.

  • Log in to online banking or the mobile banking app.
  • In online banking, select “Transfer” under the Transfer menu. (In the mobile app, click on “Transfer,” then “Make a Transfer.”)
  • Click on "Add Account."
  • Click on “Add Account Instantly” (we will attempt to verify your information in real time, allowing you instant access to your new external account) and follow the prompts.
  • Upon verification, your external account will be immediately available for use.

Note: If your external account’s financial institution is ineligible for Instant Account Verification, you will be prompted to return to the Transfers menu to add your external account manually.

What you will need:

  • If you add an account instantly, you will need the credentials you use for your external account.
  • If you add an account manually, you will need the account number for the external account you are trying to add and the routing number for that financial institution.

ACH Origination

This is a recurring transfer with a set amount and frequency that we initiate with your other financial institution. Complete our ACH Application Form here.
